Every two weeks we’ll be popping in your inbox with tips, recipes and advice on how to improve your health and fitness plus newsletter exclusive offers for our Pilates Studio in Baldock. I’ll try and keep it interesting and varied, and if nothing else you’ll get a free healthy recipe to try.

The Pilates Corner Instructor Team
Who are we?
The Pilates Corner in Baldock is a self contained Pilates Studio, tucked behind Tesco in the industrial estate. We’ve been here since lockdown lifted in 2021, after relocating from our Stevenage studio that had been open since 2016.
Myself (Emma Lovelock), and my team of fantastic instructors run an assorted timetable that runs 7 days a week. Although the majority of our classes are mat-based pilates, we also offer low-intensity Pilates, Chair Pilates, Trigger-Point Pilates, Barre & Floor Barre.
Earlier this year we were very proud to be awarded the Muddy Stilettos Award for Best Yoga/Pilates Studio in Herts, Beds & Bucks.
Our main client base is made up of women aged 40-65 however we also have men that come to our classes and people of all ages from 16-86 years old!

Exercise of the Fortnight
Each fortnight we give you an exercise to do at home. This week we are doing Shoulder Bridge…..
The Shoulder Bridge is a fantastic exercise to mobilise the spine and strengthen the glutes (bottom muscles). Watch the video and give it a try for yourself.
Upcoming Workshops & Courses
We endeavour to put on a workshop every 1-2 months, and our Postnatal courses run throughout the year.
Six-Week Postnatal Course
This popular course is for new mums, it runs term-time only and suitable after 6 weeks (for natural births) or 12 weeks (C-section). New mums can bring their (non-crawling babies) along to the sessions that are held on Wednesday mornings. Our next course starts (today), Wednesday, 6th November. Discover Pilates Workshop
![]() | Our flagship beginners workshop is back on Saturday, 23rd November, 12:30-2:30pm. For just £20 you can come along and try out Pilates for yourself with other beginners. Class Focus: Chair Pilates
Today we’re focusing on our Chair Pilates Classes. These sessions are relatively new to our timetable, and are already proving very popular.
Designed for anyone that doesn’t feel confident getting to the floor (or back up again), these low intensity chair-based classes are brilliant to keep your body moving, and help relieve aches and pains.
They run on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 3-3:45pm. The cost is £40 for a recurring block of 4 sessions, or £13 PAYG.
