Welcome to our fortnightly newsletter,

Since my last newsletter my household has had three events to celebrate; my daughter’s 16th Birthday 😵‍💫, my 45th Birthday 😳, and 5 years living in my house 🏠. (This last one is particularly scary as we moved in just before Covid - I can’t believe we’re almost 5 years on from all that!).

Every birthday, I make it a habit to look at the past year and see what I have accomplished, and what I want to achieve in the next 12 months.…

I’ve had a very productive year just gone. Although it’s still a work in progress, alongside the studio, I have launched a coaching business (The Wellness Business Lab) designed to enable me to help other studio owners, and instructors with their businesses.

I find this extremely rewarding, and I get a lot out of sharing what I’ve learned to help others.

My goals for next year are of course to keep the studio moving forward and helping more people improve their wellbeing through Pilates.

I also want to grow my coaching business, and by this time next year I intend to be launching my own Pilates teacher training programme.

So I think next year could be quite a busy one!

What plans did you make when you had your last birthday?

Did you plan to be more active? Look after yourself more? Take some more down time? How many have you managed to put into practice?

I don’t ask to make you feel bad if you haven’t done everything you planned to, just to highlight that you don’t have to wait for your next birthday to make new plans.

Every woman goes through this stage of hormonal change at some point in their life and it can massively effect your home, work and personal life.

Class Focus: Low Intensity Pilates

Today we’re focusing on our Low Intensity Pilates Classes.

They are a more gentle variation of our mixed level classes. The pace is slower and the levels more forgiving. Still with a maximum of 12 in class, these sessions tend to be generally smaller.

These classes are perfect if you lack confidence in your strength and ability, want a less challenging class, or have any limitations that may cause you to find the mixed level classes too challenging.

They run on Mondays at 12:30pm, Wednesdays at 1:45pm and Thursdays at 10:45am. You do need to be a studio member to attend these. To try them out you can purchase an intro offer which gives you an induction and 4 group classes of your choice for £75.
